As a Motion Graphics Designer, Gabe is always looking for new ways to engage the viewers of JAKK Media. Originally from the Garden State, Gabe found his way to Brooklyn in 2014. He worked a few odd jobs at a dive bar and photography studio before starting his career as an animator/video editor. Gabe has a Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies and suffering through brutally cold winters from Ithaca College.
When not watching Jeopardy and dreaming of meeting the Canadian saint Alex Trebek, Gabe can be found biking around Brooklyn, playing pick-up soccer or trying out new recipes.

Tell us a little about what you do at JAKK Media!
Post-Production is my forte at JAKK. I’m deeply involved in the final look and feel of the YouTube content you see across all of JAKK Media’s brands. I’m in many ways the final stop on the video production line, adding a cherry on top of the video team’s hard work with graphics and animation.
What’s a favorite project so far?
Working on content for Security Baron is always fun because the video team is always coming up with original and engaging ideas. I really enjoyed developing the graphics and animations for Security Baron’s VPN reviews.
What is something you think will change about digital content in the next five years?
Virtual Reality! On a weekend trip to Montreal I stumbled upon a VR museum and was blown away by some of the exhibits. I’m very interested in seeing how VR will develop over the next five years.
Are there any skills you want to learn or develop more at JAKK?
I’m always looking to find ways to strengthen my graphic design skill set.
All of JAKK’s sites feature collaborative teams. What’s something impactful you’ve learned from another person at JAKK Media?
Coming from a year and a half of working remotely, I’ve learned a lot about the importance of team-building in my time at JAKK. Our Creative Director Josh does an amazing job at creating a positive environment for collaboration.
Favorite spot to eat in NYC?
White Bear in Flushing, Queens. I’m a sucker for a hole-in-the-wall joint with no frills service. The #6 Wontons w/chili oil are top-notch.
